Don't know if this is the Ellis Buxton you are looking for but my ex-mother in law was a Buxton and her father was Ellis Buxton. They are all from around the Oakdale Louisiana area. I know that he died in Sept. 1973, I have his birth date as sept.28,1879. There is still family in Oakdale and I will try to get more information from them.
