Dear Christy,
I found an old family tree paper that was sent to me by the Public Library of Sneedville, TN, about 10 or 15 years ago.
It shows that Mitchell Buttry and his wife Sarrah, were both born in 1851. Their children were:
Mollie L. - 1874
Quince F. - 1879
Daisy J. - 1884
Roscoe W. - 1887
Benjamin H. - 1891
Warren E. - 1893
My grandfather was named for his uncle, your great-great granfather. I in turn was named for my grandfather.
The Mitchell Buttry that you are concerned with, was called the hanging Sherriff of Hancock County, because he was the only peace officer to ever carry out a death sentence.

It starts with Timothy Buttry born probably between 1665 and 1675, it's not shown. The last entry date was 1984, most like by the people who actually did the trace work.
