Hi,

Clifford H. BUTTRICKS was a son of Gorham, and he was in
Concord, MA in 1880. He moved to Philadelphia, where he
worked as a salesman.

In 1919 and in 1920, he travelled with my relation, Louis
Harlow AYRES, via Ellis Island, to Southampton, England.
Louis had visited there a few times before this, to see
his daughter and her husband, Charles Mortimer PHELPS.
Now why would Clifford accompany him? Was it business?
Was he a relation in some obscure way?
