"Button Families of America" by R. Glen Nye. says,

- Peter Button b: 1745/50 in Conn. He was married twice.
His first wife died soon after bearing him a daughter, (no name given)
He moved to Tunbridge, VT in 1778 with second wife Louisa Welch and a son Thomas.
He was killed by Indians on Oct 16, 1780 while enroute to a friends house, and lost in a dense fog.
Louisa died July 4, 1828 at the age of 88.
Shows two sons. Thomas b: abt Jan 1777
and Silas. no dates.\
- says the parents cannot be determined. but that it seems that likely that he has a brother named Silas b: 1749.
that is all it has.
