We're thinking that Frederick (Fred) G. BUTTON born 7 Oct 1857 Marshall, Calhoun, MI was the son of DeWitt Clinton BUTTON and Frances WING. Fred G. BUTTON married about 1878 <of Clay, Pawnee, NE> and had at least 9 children:Gertie M.(mar John STROBLE), Edward M., Maud Ethel (mar Chas.BUGH),Gardner Arnold (mar Gertrude BELKNAP), Ellis M., Cora Etta (mar Wm.CARPENTER),Pearl D, Flynn Franklin, and Olive BUTTON.
Their oldest child, Gertrude "Gertie" M. BUTTON married abt 1897 <of Pawnee, Lincoln, OK> John J. STROBLE (aka Jacob John STROBLE) born abt Feb 1878 in IL and they had at least 10 children: Ralph; Charles Edward; James Frank; Wilma (twin?; Walter William (twin?); Alberta; Victor Franklin; Irene; Mildred (twin?); and Millie M.(twin?) STROBLE.
John J. STROBLE and Gertie M. BUTTON were last known living in of Louisburg, Montgomery, KS [per 1930 census].
Fred BUTTON and Alice Hannah GAGE both probably died in Avery, Oklahoma. We are seeking more info about them!
