I am the group administrator of the Button DNA project. My family’s DNA says we are descended from Zebulon Button b. 1753, which is Charles Montgomery’s grandfather but I have not found the connection yet. I sure would appreciate any additional information you can provide that is not found in the Button Families of America book, which might help me find a connection.
We have DNA from a grandson of Charles Montgomery, who you must know, and from a descendant of his brother, Charles A.
We also have two other Buttons, whose DNA says that they are related to Charles Montgomery but we have not been unable to find that connection either. One is believed to be descended from the brother of Charles Montgomery’s father Zebulon Button b. 1782.
I would very much like to see the photos to see if there is a family resemblance and I would like permission to pass them along to the other people whose DNA matches with Charles Montgomery family line.
