Buttles/Buttolph in Trumball Cty, OH

Hi all,

I have been stuck on this brick wall for some time: my 3rd great grandmother was Emely (Emily) Buttles, born Oct. 26, 1825 in Trumball County, OH. I have yet to definitely prove who her father was, or go back any subsequent generations from him.
When checking records for Trumball County, I came across a Joseph Buttles born in 1797 in Trumball County, who could be her father. However-he was not married to Sally Sutton until Jan. 5, 1826 (of course, Emely could have easily been born before their wedding). When going through the Trumball county marriage records, his surname is spelled as BULERS. On the 25th of January in 1826, a Justin Buttles married Sally Hubbard. Also listed is an Edmun (not sure if it is Edmun or Edwin, copy is horrible, and writing is hard to decipher) Buttles who married a Priscilla Feigle (Teigle?) on April 18, 1826. Both were of Mecca, Trumball County.
As the marriage records show that Edmun and Joseph were both of Mecca, and that they were married around the same time, my thinking is that they were brothers, possibly cousins.

So, 1) Does anyone else have any Buttles/Buttolph in Trumball County?
2) Any thoughts on the possible relationship between Edmun and Joseph?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
