Moses W. Robertson (b.1788) married Rachel Butterworth (b.1807), daughter of Stephen and Rachel (Clement) Butterworth. They resided in Hall Co.,GA and by 1850 were residing in Murray Co., GA.
Moses W. and Rachel (Butterworth) Robertson did have a son, John M. Robertson, but as of 1850, he was residing in Murray Co., GA.His whereabouts after that date have not been ascertained.
John M. Robertson, son of Moses W. and Rachel (Butterworth) Robertson was not born in 1829, as his elder sister, Parka M. Robertson, was born that year.
I believe we may have corresponded in the past. After corresponding and relating the above details, we both arrived at the conclusion that your Moses Robinson and my Moses W. Robertson were different men.I'm not sure if the identification of your Moses Robinson's wife as a Butterworth would be accurate or if another researcher may have inadvertently confused him with my ancestor, Moses W. Robertson.
At any rate, my Moses W. Robertson did not and never did reside in Seneca, SC.
I wish you luck with your research and if you wish to discuss this family further, feel free to contact me at my private e-mail address.
