my name is sally butterfield , i was born and raised in west riding of yorkshire england and have found posts . butterfield is an old yorkshire name especially found in the west riding of the county. loads of streets and buildings bare the name , especially in bradford . in keighley {near bradford}a family of mill barons{weaving } built a gothic style mansion in the mid 19th century wich is now a museum. iv noticed some posts that mention a halifax, west yorks district called southowram{correct spelling} but they are spelt incorrectly .from the industrial revolution onwards west yorkshires population has grown into millions yet yorkshire people are probably more country at heart . even now in some urban heavily populated parts of bradford people still keep horses in ther gardens that seem to wander the streets at will .!!!!a very yorkshire name you have over there
