I am looking for any information on Jacob BUTTERFIELD (1783-1847), son of Major James BUTTERFIELD & Katherine/Catrina RUNYAN/RUNNIANS/RUNJEN of Hartwick, Otsego Co. NY. Can anyone identify any of the three sons from the first marriage? Would the oldest be Niles F. BUTTERFIELD (a.k.a. Neil, Neiel, Neal) (1804-1877) who lived next door to Jacob in 1830 census but who then moved to Oakland Co. MI? Any information on this family would be appreciated. Would especially welcome hearing from descendants.
