As I start my search into my Butterfield line, I have seen some conflicting inputs. Here is what I have and would like anyone to straighten me out if it is incorrect: In 1638, three brothers; William, Samuel, and Benjamin came to Boston on the ship "James". Their parents were Benjamin Butterfield and Susan Wood. There was also a daughter Susan Butterfield who married Matthew Mitchell.
Son Benjamin was b Abt 1600 Ovenden, Yorkshire, England; d 2 Mar 1687/88 Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA; m1 Abt 1635 Ovenden Ann Jundon; m2 3 Jun 1663 Chelmsford, MA Hannah (Chawkley) Whittemore.
Does anyone have any info on William and Samuel? I see that sister Susan's husband, Matthew Mitchell was in MA, so did Susan also come to America with brothers on the ship "James"
