Yo Scott!
The information that you have sounds awfully familiar...I'm sure that your Butler ancestry is related to mine...Tell me more...
Here's the 411 on my Butler ancestry...
Thomas Butler was born between 1690-1720
and had Mary Butler about 1734.
Supposedly, Thomas Butler was born in County Kilkenny, Ireland; however, this is mere conjecture.
Let's see what else...
There was a Thomas Butler, Jr. that ended up in Coshocton Co., Ohio and his father was Thomas Butler as aforementioned.
Thomas Butler was married to Jane Gilbert, who was previously married to a Mr. Vance.
Thomas Butler, Mary and Thomas Jr.'s father, was killed by Indians in October of 1764; although, some records have him as being killed in 1764 of August...
He was killed near his farm in Frederick County, Virginia. The town was Cedar Creek and the county was Frederick County, which I believe, is now called "Shenandoah County."
Don't quote me on that one because I could be wrong...imagine that!...LOL...:)
Anyhow, the info that I have on Thomas Butler and his children and wife are at home.
I'm currently at my college's library typing this memo to you.
Otherwise, I would be giving you the 411 on everything about him to see if you and I are distantly-related cousins.
Tell me more about your Butler family and I'll see if the info that I have at home seems to fit or align with your Butler ancestry.
Please give me more info on Franklin Pierce Butler.
I'll look on the net in the meantime and see if I can't find a connection...an ancestor connection, that is...:)
I think that's all she wrote...for now, anyhow...:)
E-mail me the details of your ancestors and I'll e-mail you faster than a lear jet...
Well, I'm off like a jet, lear that is...
