Would you not believe...Ancestry just told me they didn't have a way to search by owner name or tree name. Oh, doh, someone isn't earning his database design salary on that one.

I will construct another experimental tree and hook you in on that one just so I can find your tree again.

I'm still waiting for all the mini-strokes my genetics say I'm supposed to get--but I did find old Joseph W again, so maybe I am not that crocked yet. Here is your tree entry :

Butler, Joseph W 1777 - Fauquier, Virginia, United States 1839 - Simpson, Kentucky, United States

That guy was submitted by member 0040, whose data itself is on an error page at the moment.

However when you arrange results around this guy's number, you get all of subgroup B arranged by DNA similarity thus:

M-0040
Joseph W. Butler b. 1777 VA
M-0004
Robert Lafayette Butler b. 1827 KY
M-0008
Harvey George Butler b. April 1832 KY
M-0013
Elias Butler b. 1776 VA
M-0015
John Franklin Butler
M-0018
Thomas Pincerna b. 1180 England
M-0114

M-0153
** Please Send Your Ancestry In!! **
M-0176
James Washington Butler, born 1855
M-0188
Joseph Franklin Butler born in 1898 Stillwell, OK

I think I saw a number of very close (name age place) in your tree in addition to old Joseph W.

So, subtracting out for the ever elusive Mr. "Please send your ancestry in" , this appears to be a related group of folks and might be yours.

AND you are descended from Thomas Pincerna, ha ha ha. But, sigh, I am not. My branch, the "H" group is going to shoot for the Earl of Ormonde, I think, though we can claim the elusive Thomas with a little work. We will also go to the Plantagenets, who are related to such notables as Barack Obama, George W Bush, Dick Cheyney and other American aristocracy. :-)
