Pg 26 (p280) 2 Oct. 1751 Morice Roberts of Chesterfield Co., to ALLICE BUTLER(sic) of King William Co., for [30, 100ac, part of 400 granted to Morris Roberts, Step Roberts, John Roberts and Joshua Roberts by patent 1 Aug. 1745, bounded by SAMUEL BUTLER, Joshua Roberts and John Rayley. Wit: G. R. Turner, ISRAEL WINFRIE, SAMUEL BUTLER, JR., Gilbert Elam; Recorded 4 Oct. 1751 Roberts's wife relinquished her dower.

Pg 59 (p176) SAMUEL BUTLER of St Johns Parish, King William Co., for love and affection to my son SAMUEL BUTLER, 200ac, adjoning land that formerly belonged to Maurice Roberts. 15 July, 1754. Wit: Jason Isbell, Jam's Quarles, jr., THOS. BUTLER ; Recorded 2 Aug, 1754.

THIS IS ALSO A COMMENT ON BLUE RIDGE HERITAGE; Burnett, Banscome,Hylton, Cox, SLAUGHTER, and Related Families by Dorothy Burnett Peterson. She did a great job; but this was before the internet. WHERE SHE GOT THE INFO THAT "ALLICE BUTLER WAS A <DANDRIDGE> UNKNOWN. AND NOT SUBSTANTIATED... as for the Rhodes attached to the postings on genforum and worldconnect... that too is both unsubstantiated and unknown... her maiden name is at this point very unknown.
