Hi,
My Bulters are from Chester County PA. I don't know how or why they settled in Dinwiddle County VA. Wm C Butler was born around 1812 in Chester County Pa. His father (Benjamin) died same year (1812). His mother Martha Cochran Butler (nick name Patty) remarried (??? I think his name was John Parker)

Then they are in the Dinwiddle Census and he was in the Civil War, I can document their linage 1812 -2008 to this current time. I'm hoping to find the conection of the reason that they moved to VA. and possible remarriage of Martha.

He was a decendant of Noble Butler of England, I have that lineage as well; but have this gap of PA to VA from 1812 to 1865.

I have not checked the Quakers for Chester County or VA.

Hope we connect. Were any of your Bulters from Chester Co PA?
