Hi looking for information on my great grandfather John Butler, unable to find anything from 1871-1905....he was listed as 1 of the first settlers in brent's cove in 1871...this is what i know about him He and 2 other brothers that moved here ...Thomas Butler and Anthony James Butler...I know that his father was also john because it is written on Anthony James grave marker...John Butler married Mary Elizabeth Flynn fron King's Cove...unable to find Marriage because of a fire and lost records...they had 7 chilfren (Anthony b. 1890,M. Bridget Matthews) (James b.1892,M. Elizaeth Haas) (Maragret ,unknow had moved to Boston or new York) (Elizabeth b. 1899 M. Leo Domalain) (Mary b. 1900 M. Thomas Snow from somerville Newfoundland..Moved to Boston in 1934.)(Ellen Maude Butler b.1907 Moved to fortune harbour when she was 16, working, Moved to new york or boston in 1927...Inportant in fo for here in MY great grandmother had remarried a Richard Qirk in 1923 in fortune harbour...lived there until his death , she then returned to brent's Cove until her death in 1945 at the age of 82.) Catherine, date of birth unknown..I know that she had married a Steven Furlong from Grandfalls and moved to Nova Scotia) would like anyone with information on any of these people to contact me...I have alot on my great grandmother butler(Flynn)
