I should point out that the Butlers or Ormonde in Ireland also claim descent from Ralph of the House of Glanville which strengthens my theory that the Butlers of England and Ireland are indeed the same family.

The fact that Theobald FitzWalter (Le Butler) Chief Butler of Ireland gave the land of Out Rawcliffe to his brother Richard also adds to that theory.

Theobald FitzWalter was another Sheriff of Lancaster Castle same as Sir John Le Boteler of Warrington.
