This quote is somewhat cryptic in that it doesn't really tell us much.
I cannot find an individual by that reference. History has not always recorded all the names.
I believe this is a reference to the Norman House of Glanville from which the ancestors of the Butler family do come from.Eudes, pronounced Odo, was a count and Ralph was his butler.
I believe the 1100 date is a clue to the meaning.

My line is from Sharnbrook, Biddenham, Befordshire according to his arms yet Sir Oliver used the family motto of the group from Teston, Kent.This is also confusing.
I think the name Almeric is a clue.My line includes him.
In essence, I believe it is the same line as mine.
Of course, I could be wrong but I am guessing here.
