Bruce,

The following is a quote by Lord Dunboyne:

"Most Butlers of Essex probably derive from Ralph

(living 1100), butler of Eudes of Colchester

(Arch. Cantiana xlvi, 152)"

I found Archaeologia Cantiana at

www.kentarchaeology.org.uk/research/research.htm

but could not find the volume or page number

(xlvi, 152). Please research this and keep me

informed.

This site can be contacted at:

research@kentarchaeology.org.uk

John
