Thanks for the info on Rachel Butlers family Virginia Butler Pack is my wife her grandfather was James,the place she heard about was Butler mountain she has never been there but we was at one or two of the reunion that was held in the national forest and met a few people that lived above alderson.
My wife said she went to the reunion up untel she was 16 and her dad got disabled and they stayed at Andrews daughter home henry and annie cutlips.
Our adress is Charles M pack PO Box 541 Shady Spring WV 25918.
I have the names of Andrews childern and francis's childern and james childern. I don't know much about Erastus Henry and George except that they died in prison.1860 Census has Erastus Henry age 11, Andrew age 7, francis age 6, George age 21/2. James was borned 1867.
1880 census has Rachel Butler, single and working for the starcher family as a house keeper and james 13 was a laborer in Clay Co Va. I would like to have pictures of Andrew, Henry, George or any other you might have or know any one that has any. we will make neg. and send the pictures back. Thank for the info.
