Denise, yes there are alot of Butchers in Maryland and my Butcher family was very
prolific and helped adding to the numbers
and the confusion. There are the German Butchers that lived side by side to my
family in Montgomery County but I see no connection. I feel that my family are English Butchers descending from the Butchers from
Baltimore Co and the eastern Shore. But of course I dont have the documentation and proof.
Are you aware of James Butcher that was a
short time fill in Govenoner of Maryland in the early 1800's? He was from England orginally and a plantation owner in QA county
and was much older when he took the temporary
position by default. He was also a lawyer.

I wish I could be more of a help to you but I
have my Maryland Butchers back to 1800 in Frederick and Montgomery Co and your names
dont show up in the info I have. Sorry.
