Douglas, I have a Butcher family bible from Putnum-Montgomery Co., IN inherited from my step-grandfather Walter Dowden whose first wife was Mellie Blanche Butcher. Mellie had a brother named George W. Butcher who was probably named after a family member, possibly your George W. I can email you the pages of the Bible if you are interested.
