I am looking for the mother of my GGG grandfather Matthew Hamilton Butcher. Matthew Hamilton Butcher was born in 1812 in Clarksburg, WV, and died on 7/18/1883. According to the info I have received, he took the maiden name of his mother (Butcher) instead of keeping her married name of Hamilton after his father deserted their family. I have no information on either his father or his mother other than that she was a Butcher before marriage. Any help is greatly appreciated.
