Dallas I am still trying to find Warrick/Warwick/ who appears in Nicholas Co, WV records as Warnick Butchers. Cannot find his parents. No leads to date and there are others who are trying. Below is the article I rec. and think it is true. Some of the cousins have visited his grave site. Lola Butcher Given

Warrick Butcher enlisted in the Confederate Army at Frankfort, VA(now WV) on
3/13/1863 as a private in Company C, 19th Virginia Cavalry, C.S.A. He was
captured in Nicholas County, VA(now WV) on 7/29/63 and was taken to Atheneum
Prison as a P.O.W. where he arrived on 9/13/63. Upon arrival he was
described as age 44, 5'10" tall, with dark hair and whiskers and blue eyes.
His occupation was listed as blacksmith and his residence as Nicholas
County. On 9/17/63 he was transferred to Camp Chase at Columbus, OH. On
1/14/64 he was again transferred to Rock Island Prison, Rock Island,
Illinois, where he died of tuberculosis on 12/3/64. He was buried in grave
#1637 in the Rock Island Prison Cemetery.
