I have Butcher/Schlager in my background, Heinrich and Katerina (sp?) Schlager (sp?) came here and changed their names to Henry and
Katherine Butcher. Has anyone else heard of this in their family?? Their son John Butcher was born in 1871. I'm just getting started tracing my roots. Thanks.
