Hi. I don't know if there would be any connection but I found it interesting that there is a Butcher and Long that are related. I have a John Long Jr. (born 5/7/1839) that married a Sarah Jane Butcher (born 02/16/1840). The line that I come from here would be their child Levi Preston Long have my Grandfather Ezra Milton Long. My grandpa was married twice. Once to Mary Lorena Brown and then to my Minnie Belle Fulton. If any of this ties to you (or anyone else reading) I would love to share information.
