I will be taking a trip to northern New Mexico a about a week and want to look for a marriage record for Manuel Bustos. The 1910 census for Rio Arriba County shows Manuel & his wife with five children, the youngest b. about 1899. The record also shows that his wife, Lucia Archuleta, had 7 children by that census and 5 were alive. These five children appear at regular intervals so I believe the two who had died were among the first born. Therefore, I believe they were married in the 1890s as Lucia is 28 in 1910 and Manuel 38. they were at Ranchitos on an Juan Pueblo. I have not found them on the 1900 census in NM but know they were there aas their extended families are in Santa Cruz and Rio Arriba counties.
For a marriage record from that time period would I be most apt to find it at the church in the vicinity or in Santa Fe at the Archdiocese? Thanks for your help.
