This is a small world. My name is Rafael Bustamante too, as was my fathers. We were both born in El Paso, Texas. I also go as Ralph. I'm 3rd Generation Texan, as my Grandfather, John Paul Bustamante, was born in Brenham, TX. I think his parents were from Mexico. Their parents came from Spain. I note the day you first posted your message on this board, as my father was born 10/26/1935. I live in Arizona now. Growing up in El Paso, the only Bustamante's I knew of were all related to me. Other than another branch in El Paso, which also had a Ralph Bustamante, I never thought Bustamante was a common name. When I moved to Phoenix, though, a Rafael Bustamante about my age from Casa Grande had been reported as deceased that same week. Imagine my wife's surprise when the people that moved us here to work called her and asked if I was OK! I also read of a Rafael Bustamane in L.A. when I was out there, but I think he may not have been up to anything good. Oh, well, at least we can blame all the bad things we do on them. Hopefully, neither of those guys was you (especially the dead guy!)... I have a web site: '', but it doesn't have any pictures of me. I'll get some later. E-mail me if you can, and lets keep up the great reputation of us Rafael Bustamante's!

p.s. Mi esposa es de Mexico, y yo hablo espanol con ella, pero escribo mas facil en Ingles...
