I am not related but I have a collection of newspaper clipping (no dates, no locations or Newspaper names) from the early 1900s in the Washington Co. area of Eastern Colorado. "Death of P.F. Bussey Thru the kindness of Mr. Cleve Callaway of Boulder, formerly of Hugo we received a postal card last evening announcing the sad news of the death of P.F. Bussey at Boulder Wednesday night Sept. 28, at 9:40 o'clock, and the funeral will be held Sunday. Mr. Bussey homesteaded in the Bovina district about fourteen years ago, and always took an active part in county affairs, especially political. He had been educated as a lawyer, and was well posted on public affairs, being a gifted public speaker. He could recite from memory the Declaration of Independence, and often was called upon on patriotic occasions to give this recitation. To his grief-stricken and lonely wife, the Ledger extends tender sympathy. -- Range Ledger. (Mr. Bussey was of course well known in the Genoa district. He was a sterling citizen who did more than his share in building up his section of Eastern Colorado. The Sentinel strongly endorses the sympathy expressed by Judge Miles in the Range Ledger) Notify Administrator about this message?
