Hi Jennifer. I have no idea if the Walter in my family is the same as yours, but the one I know of was the eldest son of Benjamin Bussey, and he would have born in 1861. The family lived in Norfolk. You say that your Walter was from "Sufex" - but I've never heard of it- do you mean Sussex or Suffolk? - Anyway, Norfolk is the county next to Suffolk, so there may have been some connection. Benjamin was married twice - I only have the name of the 2nd wife - Charlotte Rayner and as she would have been 15 when Walter was born it is unlikely that she was his mother. His siblings were Arnold, Clifford, George or Geoffrey, Ethel, Kate, and Benjamin Cupid. Walter was registered as a bricklayer in 1881. His baby half brother Benjamin Cupid was my Grandfather. I am 38 years old and live in Essex, England. I would be interested to hear if you recognise any of the brothers/sisters names from your family history! Good luck!
Claire.
