Cathy: I don't have enough information on my Busses to link them to yours, but the given names sound very much like my family's. I do have this: Frederich Busse was my g-g-grandfather, but my family knew him as Herman. He immigrated probably between 1865-1879, based upon his childrens' dates of marriage. In 1880, he was living in his married daughter's house with two more daughters and their families. He was listed in the St. Louis (June 14) 1880 census as follows: 64 yrs., laborer, wife Christina, 59, both born in Prussia, parents b. Prussia. Enumerated with daughters Sophia & Hermann Schlueter, Christine & Christian Rodenberg and Caroline & August Wiese, who had arrived from Germany just 10 days before. These couples had married in Germany. I do not know of any siblings or parents of his.
If I find out anything more I'll be sure to let you know.

There was mention in the family of two sons, one Henry and the other unnamed, but I haven't researched them yet. Since they dropped out of the family picture, they may have moved out of St. Louis.
