I have in my database a Laura P. Smith who married an Isaac Buskirk in Muir, Ionia Co., Michigan. Laura was from a family that settled in Ionia and Montcalm Counties in Michigan. (The two counties border each other) This marriage took place on August 28, 1873. Isaac's father was Abram Buskirk. I just got this information from FamilySearch (LDS Database) and it coincides with the information I had regarding Laura. I am assuming this is the correct family as this name is not real common, unlike SMITH.

(Additionally, Laura had a father named Charles, a brother named William and a sister-in-law named Rozella!)
