No, I have not corresponded with Roland Jordan re this family. James and Alcy Jordan of Sangamon Co., IL are my great-great-great-grandparents. I descend from them through their son Henry B. Jordan and Kesiah Hall. I have however corresponded with Jordans who make the jump from the James Jordan born 23 May 1783 and the Sangamon Co. James Jordan, and while I personally believe they are the same person, it's a good bet to look around in Maryland records before "canonizing" this info. Bio of Henry B. Jordan's son Francis Marian Jordan stated James from Maryland. The Allegany Co. marriage of a James Jordan to an Elsey Buskirk is the first time I've seen a possible place to start in MD. Henry was b ca 1805-1810 so an 1801 marriage for his parents is perfect. Do you have proof James m in Ohio? How do you fit in this family? How is it you found me on the Buskirk forum if you didn't know about this union? I would love to touch bases with you and Roland.
