I am not sure if my gggrandmother's maiden name was
Buskirk or Besskeck, it was handwritten in several church
records. She was married to John Hayden, born in Ireland.
The census records indicate that Catherine was born in Ohio, her father was born in New Jersey and her mother
was born in Pennsylvania. I believe Catherine was born
about 1823 and died in Illinois April 8, 1890. John was
born about 1815 and died January 5, 1889. They had seven sons. The family story was that Catherine was American
Indian, my Mother was told Cherokee but I believe it may be
Delaware.
If anyone has any information about my gggrandmother, I
would appreciate hearing from them.
