Julie,

As no one has responded to your query, perhaps I can give you a little on the name Buskirk. It is my understanding that the name was originally Van Buskirk and down the line, some families dropped the VAN. To check this further, you can check it out by checking on the name Lauren(s) Andriessen Van Buskirk. His wife was Jannetje Jans. You can go to Google and find the named numerous times. There are lots of websites that will inform you.

If you want to trace your Ned Edward, Ned Edwin, you might start the same way, using Google put in the name like this, ("Ned Edward Buskirk") If you get no results try ("Ned Buskirk") Try this on Rootsweb.com also, or try the name of the mother. Rootsweb has free lessons on how to find your ancestors. Good Luck, Joyce
