Dear Willis,
You could help me with the William Taylor genealogy, if you would. I do not descend from Bushrod Taylor. I descend from a John Taylor, born 1792 in Frederick Co., VA. But one of his grandsons was named Bushrod John Taylor, and I traced that odd name back to William Taylor, whose 1816 will in Frederick Co. lists his "son Bushrod who is deceased."
So I am thinking that my John's father (who was probably a John, Jr.) and William may have been brothers. Which would mean that William's father would be my John's grandfather.
This wouldn't be Bushrod material, so you could email me individually.I'm hoping you also happen to know William's siblings, so I could find out if there were a John among them.
