Dear Joann,

I wanted to reply to your message on Bushrod Taylor. You may already know this, but he was the son of William Taylor, who died in Frederick Co., VA in 1816. William Taylor left a will, which was probated April 1, 1816, in which he mentions his son "Bushrod who is deceased." William Taylor probably married Catherine Bushrod, though I cannot yet prove it.

I am not directly descended from William, but probably from his brother, if he had a brother named John. My line, three generations later, had a son named Bushrod John, which is why I think it may be the same line in the generation above William.

If you have any information on William's siblings and parents, I would be most grateful.

If you don't, then I hope my information was helpful to you.

Sincerely,

Cameron La Follette
