Most of the Bushrod and Corbin reserchers that post information on this site as well as Rootsweb World Connect and Ancestry.com believe that John Bushrod, Jr.'s first wife was Jenny Corbin, daughter of Gawin Corbin and Jane Lane. I believe that this is partly incorrect.

Jane Lane, daughter of John Lane, was originally married to Capt. Willis Wilson. He was born in Hampton, Elizabeth City County Va. in 1672 and died 19 November 1701. Willis Wilson and Jane Lane had a daughter named Jane Wilson who was called "Jenny" Wilson. Jenny was born about 1698. She was about 3 years old when her father died. About 1708, Jane (Lane)Wilson married Gawin Corbin as his second wife.
Jenny Wilson being a daughter of Jane(Lane)Wilson, widow of Willis Wilson, became a step daughter of Gawin Corbin when
her mother married him.

About 1715-1717, Jane (Lane/Wilson)Corbin died. In 1716 Jenny Wilson was engaged to marry Thomas Lee. Thomas Lee went to England to arrange for a lease on some Virginia Property from his brother. While Thomas was in England, Jenny chose her 1st cousin, James Roscow of Blunt Point Plantation in Warwick County Va as her legal guarding and went to live with her Aunt Mary (Wilson) Roscow Cary Blair,
mother of James Roscow. James Roscow was appointed Recerver General of His Majesty's Revenues for the Virginia Colony in 1716 replacing William Byrd in that position. James Roscow was also a member of the Virginia Assembly (House of Burgesses) representing Warwick County. James Roscow died in 1722. In 1718 and 1719 James Roscow and his wife Jenny, took Gawin Corbin to court in a matter of a land disput. Corbin had apparently sold property which was due to come to Jenny. Nothing more has been found concerning Jenny after the death of her husband James Roscow. Apparently Jenny (Wilson) Roscow who apparently was known as Jenny Corbin was married to John Bushrod about 1735 according to information from Bushrod and Corbin researchers.
