I am not a Bushrod researcher, but it is certainly a familiar name to me since I live in a suburb of DC. I also do a lot of research in Virginia. In one of my booklets, "Historical Atlas of Westmoreland County, Virginia" by David Eaton, 1942, the author states "The Bushrods came from Massachusetts." This was in an article on Richard and Thomas who purchased "Bushfield" plantation about 1664.

I just wondered if this is true; doesn't appear to be!
