I knew this name was familar. An additional twist.

Chloe and Obadiah came to Gustavus, OH in June 1804. They journeyed by team in company with Calvin Cone and others (cousins). Eight children were brought here and another was born after arrival (Hist. Mahoning and Trumbul Co. 1882.) (Gildersleeve Pioneers 1941 p. 279).

Obadiah died in 1805 aged 42 years, was first to be buried in the graveyard. Chloe lived to be 70, remarrying 8/22/1811 Josiah Pelton (another first family). They have no children that I have a record of.
