So far from all my research I find that the name BUSHEY is not french. Because there is a french name "Boucher" everyone thinks that is the original.
I have found a place in England that is known as Bushey it is about 40 miles from London. My father-in-law says that there are scotts in the family which could have come from that town as England was over Scotland. I talked with someone from the town, via e-mail, and was told that no one there had the name Bushey, but that when townsment immigrated from Bushey, they said they were e.g. Frank from Bushey. I don't know what else to tell you. If you find Bushey from another country I would like to hear from you. Thank you, Polly
