Looking for ancestry/origins of Joseph Bouchey (aka Bouchie, Bushey, Bushee ...)b.~1787, Canada. He was probably French and the name has been Anglicized over time. Was a ship carpenter. Joseph married Deborah McFarland ~1812 or so. Deborah b.~1796, Maine. Need her ancestry/origins also.

Found this family in 1840 census, Newbury, Mass and in 1850 census, Newburyport, Mass., but no trace of them in earlier or later years in Mass, Maine or NH.

Known children of Joseph & Deborah:
1. Susan M., b. Sept 1813, Maine; married 1835 in Salem, Mass to Daniel Floyd, Jr of Warner, NH; lived in Hopkinton, NH, Billerica, Mass and Lowell, Mass.
2. Angelette, b. 1815, Maine; married Robert C. Rich, 1838 in Salem, Mass; lived in Newburyport, Mass & Bath, Me.
3. Mary, b. ~1827, prob. Maine.
4. George J., b. ~1832. In Navy during Civil War)
5. Edwin A., b. Dec 1835, Maine. In Navy during Civil War. Married Teresa ____, an Irishwoman, approx 1865. Lived briefly in New Hampshire, then Lynn, Mass. Edwin d. 1907, Lynn.
6. William N., b. ~1840, Maine or Mass.
7. possibly Joseph, b. ~1843, prob. Mass. In Army during Civil War; may have deserted.

Thanks in advance for any help! -Suzanne
