Hi Reyedene,

When I first posted my message in was under the impression that Martha's middle name was Elizabeth because I had just received her son's Social Security Application and listed his mother as Martha Elizabeth Bush. I have since learned through looking at census records and message boards that her middle initial was R.

You had mentioned that you found a Mattie Jackson in Craighead Co. who had died 18 May 1928. Well that is her. I have the death certificate. The informant on the death certificate is her son-in-law John Robinson who was married to her daughter Virginia Gertrude Jackson Robinson. She went by Gertie most of the time. I don't know why Martha's husband wasn't the informant on the death certificate. He was still alive as of the 1930 census.

You also mentioned that there is a lady who is directly descended from Rebecca Hanna and her daughter Florence Elizabeth Barnes. Could that be Betty Cavner? If so, I have had the pleasure corresponding with her.

Thank you for the information and the post. Please note: I now know her middle initial is R. not Elizabeth.

Kris Harman
