Sons of William LT Bush, b 1773 Vermont, settled in Bastard Twp, Leeds, Canada.
Hi All,
Does anyone know the names of all the sons of William L.T. Bush?
Does anyone know what the "L.” stands for in William LT Bush's name?
After spending considerable time reviewing the wonderful CanadaGenWeb.com's online census transcriptions, I believe that Lewis Bush b 1817 is a son of William and Azuba Bush.
This William Bush was born in Vermont about 1773, married Azuba Murray abt 1794 and settled down in Bastard Twp., Leeds, Canada.
In the 1817 household William is 42 years old, his wife is 40, there are 3 males 14-17, 2 males 7-14, and 2 males 7 years old and under (the last 2 males could be Daniel Bush b 1810 and Lewis Bush b 1817.)
In the 1828 Canada census William's 2 oldest sons are living out on their own William Bush Jr. and Frayer Bush, Frayer is living next to his father, William Bush Sr.. William Bush, Sr.'s household has 2 males over 16, himself and Daniel, and 1 male under 16, Lewis would be abt 12.
Lewis was abt 25 he married Amy Stevens December 7, 1842, Baptist church and listed themselves as Episcopalian Methodist for many years. In the 1844 census Lewis Bush is on Line 185, Friar Bush is on Line 157, William Bush, Jr. is on Line 185, I would appreciate any help verifying or disproving Lewis Bush's connection with this Bush family and the names of William LT Bush's sons.
Of possible sons I only know of the following:
Son William T. Bush, Jr. b 1797
Son Frayer T. Bush b 1798-9
Son Daniel Bush b 1810
Son Lewis Bush b 1817
Thank you for your consideration.
