My search for Martha Bush, married to Absalom Buchanan, took me to Edgar County this summer where I found Paulson's and his children graves in a very wooded area on private property. The owners of the property provided us with gum boots to cross the river and to protect us from poison ivy. I was hoping to find Absalom's resting place, but this was apparently not it. Martha moved to Piatt County after Absalom passed away. She is buried in Camp Creek cemetery in White Heath, Illinois. Their youngest daughter, Rosa, is suppose to be buried close by, but does not have a tombstone. Their oldest son, James Sylvester, was my great grandfather.
