Sally Rowland Bush md. John K. Brown on 4/21/1813 in Caldwell Co., KY. I believe the young couple left for Missouri about that same time. I'm not sure they took all Sally's siblings along with them. I do think youngest brother Reuben Rowland Bush may have stayed in KY with his father and his new and much younger bride. I also don't know if they took brother John B. Bush with them. He may have stayed behind and studied medicine under his father.

In Goodspeede's Missouri Histories series data says that William B. Bush, his brother George Bush and John K. Brown served in the Missouri Mounted Rangers in 1814.

Dr John H. Bush did marry his young wife in 1815 but I think Sally, William and George Bush had already gone to Missouri. Data in the LDS IGI claims that Dr. John H. Bush and first wife Mary Rowland Bush also had gone to New Madrid, Missouri and Mary died there. The IGI files do NOT show any sources for this info so it needs to be verified.

Why do you say that William B. Bush was living in Sumner Co and married there? He was born in 1796 and in Mo by 1814 - at age 18. Have you found marriage or land records for him in Sumner Co. Be careful, another Bush family did move into the area. Where did you find the names of his early wives??

Dr. John B. Bush's descendant Lois P. has done extensive research on him. As far as I know n one has discovered what his middle initial "B" stood for. I believe he and his twin sister Anna B. were named for their maternal great grandparents - John and Anna Blalock. No proof - just seems very likely they were the source. No info on Anna B. Bush has been found that I know of. She may not have reached maturity. It can't hurt to look a bit more!

Are you sure about Anna M. Russell Bush's parent's names???? I know William B. Bush, George Bush and John K. Brown served under Col. William Russell in 1814. But was he her father. She named a son Joseph Russell and I though that might be her father's name.

Here are the children I have for William B. Bush - confirmed by census data.
John H. Bush b. 6/14/1820
George W. Bush b. 5/30/1822
William Hamilton Bush b. 9/1/1826-12/1/1891 Miss Co. (Md. Sarah Russell (1831-1859) on 2/7/1850 Miss. Co); Lucy Louisa Lane (1841-1872) on 11/3/1869 Miss Co.); and Sarah Grinstead on 6/1/1873.
Polly Bush b. 6/1/1829 (Md. Wallace Kirkpatrick on 1/29/1850 Miss. Co. )
Robert L. (Lofton?) Bush b. 11/14/1834-5/1/1868 Miss. Co. (Md. Susan E. on 11/14/1853

Seven years lapse-

Mary Ellen Bush b. 9/3/1853- 9/22/1862
Price L. Bush b. 4/8/1856 (Md. Isabell Campbell on 6/27/1878; md Mrs. Sarah Price on 10/29/1899)

NOTE: That one son was named Richard B. Bush. Might that have been Richard Bennett Bush??? He was the father of Micajah Bennett and a Francis Bennett Bush (earlier email).
