You are absolutely correct. Nevertheless, I still believe the Housen/Howson origins was elsewhere. I hope you will PROVE me wrong! PLEASE!!!

As for Alexander Graham Bush, the son of Dr. John H. and Mary Rowland Bush - he appears to have been named for an individual named Alexander Graham residing in Sumner County, TN and appearing on several court records with Dr. Bush at the time his son Alexander GRaham Bush was born!

Yes! Lorenzo Dow was a minister and many sons were named for him including the one found in the Bush family!
