They always have an Arbor Day celebration in Adams, Jefferson County, New York- I thought there was some connection with Johnny Appleseed and that town- hence the celebration?
The Bush family in Lewis Co. NY (near Adams) came from the Westfield Mass area- Capt. Moses Bush- his son Capt John Bush- guess they were ships builders in Groton Conn area then moved to Westfield during the Rev. war? Built ships named the Trumbull and something else.....then after the Rev.war moved to the Jefferson Lewis County area- of NY where they were given land- in abt 1802/3
