I have read all the wonderful posting in 2007 about the BUSH boys from Laurens, Montgomery county Ga and the story about Sampson County, NC. I didn't know about the last story.
My confusion makes my head swim. However, about 2 years ago, Sherry Tracey sent me information,stating William Lane Bush and Morning Sheffield were the parents of my ancestor Mary Jane Bush who married William F. Jones in Laurens county, Ga., about 1837.
But she gives William Lane's birthdate as 1805; mary jane bush was born in 1818 and was supposedly the 3rd child.
How can this be right. I have not contacted Sherry but hoping someone might help me understand.
William F. and Mary Jane Bush Jones Bible records are on file with the National DAR. It gives their birthdates and marriage date and births of thier children. One of the sons was given the name of Martin L. Jones;one was Russell Blackshear Jones.....................Elizabeth Pope Bush maybe for sure their mother but Im unsure which William Bush she married.
I am replying to the many posts that were made in summer 2007 on this Bush family.
Thank you for any help you would be willing to help me see more clearly.
