Sheri,
Carol ask me to respond to your message # 7204 on Bush Family Gen Forum. In your message you state and ask the following:
-------------------
"I would love to share what I have with someone that is very knowledgable of this Bush line to make sure I have interpreted these papers correctly.
"Can you email me directly and I would be glad to share with you to keep the message board from being bogged down?
I live a good ways from Virgina and South Carolina so getting my hands on copies of the actual documents is not readily easy for me. Do you know if anyone has published anything on the internet regarding "our" Bush family. I found something that is wonderful on the DeLoach family. I have not been able to find anything on our Bush's. I have come across several postings on this site by Gene L. Cato, Sr. of the Bush Genealogy Research. I have tried his email addresses but they all came back as not valid addresses. Do you know how to get a hold of him."
-------------------
Sheri,
Both Carol and myself have extensive knowledge of this line of Bushes.
I received an email from you dated April 16, 05. I responded to your email the following day, April 17, 05.
As far as getting your hands on copies of the actual documents, let me answer by first stating that Carol and her husband live in Montana and I and my family live in Georgia. Without leaving our home towns we both do most of our research using microfilm copies of primary records that we order from different places. These microfilm can be found in a number of places such as national and state archives, libraries, courthouses etc. One of the largest repositories of such microfilm is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Microfilm from them can be ordered through your nearest Family History Center usually located in one of their churches.
At the present time Carol and I have an article in the hands of the editors of the "Magazine of Virginia Genealogy" published by the Virginia Genealogical Society that deals with the early Richard Bushes of Essex County Virginia. When we get a publishing date we will pass it on. It usually takes a year or so from the time a manuscript reaches the editor until the article is actual published.
Sincerely,
Gene L. Cato, Sr.
